Terms of service
Last updated 2 March 2026
1. Who we are
WorldPlate is a recipe library and cooking guide operated by WorldPlate Ltd. These terms form an agreement between you and us covering the website and any WorldPlate mobile app.
Using WorldPlate means you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the service.
2. Your account
You need an account to save recipes or subscribe. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in details private and for activity that happens under your account.
You must be at least 16 years old, or have permission from a parent or guardian, to create an account.
3. WorldPlate Plus subscriptions
Plus is billed monthly or yearly and renews automatically until cancelled. Prices are shown before you pay and include any tax we are required to collect.
If a free trial is offered, we start billing at the end of the trial unless you cancel before it ends.
You can cancel at any time from your account. Cancelling stops future renewals; you keep Plus access until the end of the period you have already paid for.
Subscriptions bought inside the Apple App Store or Google Play are billed by Apple or Google and must be cancelled through those stores.
4. Refunds
If you are in the UK or EU you have a statutory right to cancel within 14 days of purchase. Contact us and we will refund you in full.
Outside those regions we consider refund requests case by case within 14 days of a charge. App store purchases are refunded by Apple or Google under their policies.
5. Recipe content and food safety
Recipes, photography and written guidance on WorldPlate are ours or licensed to us. You may cook from them freely and share links, but you may not republish the content commercially without written permission.
Cooking involves heat, sharp tools and raw ingredients. Always follow safe food-handling practice for your region, and check ingredient labels yourself if you have an allergy or intolerance. Our allergen tags are a helpful guide, not a guarantee.
6. Acceptable use
Do not scrape the service, resell access, attempt to bypass paid features, or upload anything unlawful or abusive. We may suspend accounts that do.
7. Availability and changes
We work to keep WorldPlate available but cannot promise uninterrupted service. We may add, change or remove features, and we will give notice of material changes to paid features.
We may update these terms. If a change materially affects you we will tell you before it takes effect.
8. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law. Otherwise our liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
9. Contact
Questions about these terms can go to hello@worldplate.app and we will reply within a few working days.
